Context

A vessel management and tracking platform for maritime operations, enabling fleet managers to monitor and manage their vessels efficiently. [Expand: who the fleet operators are, scale of fleets, the operating context.]

My Role

As the lead UI/UX Designer, my key responsibilities included:

  • Product Strategy: Defined the product strategy and roadmap for implementation.
  • Design System: Established a comprehensive design system and component library to align design and development.
  • Collaboration: Worked closely with junior designers, developers, and stakeholders to consolidate requirements and navigate technical constraints.
  • Product Evolution: Ensured the new web platform was a seamless evolution of the existing mobile application.

The Problem

[The core problem for fleet managers before this platform — concretely. What was hard about monitoring vessels, scheduling, or compliance?]

What I Did

[The heart of the case study — your process and the key design decision + the tradeoff behind it. Dense data dashboards are a strong story here.]

  • [Key decision — e.g. how you surfaced live vessel data without overwhelming — and why]
  • [A tradeoff you weighed]
  • [Another notable move]

Outcome

[What shipped and what it changed. Real numbers if you have them — fleets onboarded, time saved, fewer missed events.]

Reflection

[Optional, 1–2 lines: what you'd do differently. Signals seniority.]
