Vessel Management and Tracking Platform

Context

Vessel Management companies manage fleets of different types of vessels and different owners. 

They have to keep track of all their vessels and their movements, their performance, their cargo, their maintenance schedules, and their operational status. 

The client is world’s leading vessel management company handling hundreds of shipping vessels all across the world. Vessel tracking and vessel performance are important to enable effective interventions to maintain financial feasibility.

My Role

To unify fragmented data from disparate sources into a single structured platfrom that provides users clear insights.

As the lead product designer, my key responsibilities included:

• Product Strategy: Defined the product strategy and roadmap for implementation at every stage with close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Design System: Established a comprehensive design system and component library to align design and development.
• Collaboration: Worked closely with junior designers, developers, and stakeholders to consolidate requirements and navigate technical constraints.
• Product Evolution: Ensured the new web platform was a seamless evolution of the existing mobile application.
